Some 20+ years ago, I met a Luger collector by chance, and he sold me this 1940 Mauser '42' military model for $700. Apparently he had upgraded to a nicer piece for this make/year/variant and didn't need this one anymore. I was just out of school at the time, and worked like crazy to scrape up the funds. There's a little holster wear on the edges, but it's otherwise very clean. Everything is matching except the magazine, which appears to be a spare. I'm always on the search for the correct magazine - if anyone has any leads please let me know (have also cross posted this in the Jan Still Luger forum). The bore on this is pristine, and I have taken it out shooting a few times over the years. It is definitely my most accurate pistol at the range -- usually one ragged hole at 10 yards. Enjoy!
